My auntie is so thoughtful! Before I left Hilo she hooked me up with 2 frozen double-crusted Fuji Apple Pies from Big Island Candies. We baked one today and I have to tell you - this is the best apple pie I've ever eaten. Ever. And I've eaten A LOT of apple pies!

Everything encompassing this pie is delicious. The crust is crispy, buttery and salty all at the same time, and the filling is jam-packed with large slices of sweet and semi-firm fuji apples.

If you gotta have one now, you'll have to travel to Hilo to get it. They're sold at KTA Puainako. I can't wait to taste what other delectables Big Island Candies creates! Thank you Auntie!
