Since my kids have only two days left of summer vacation, my husband took off from work and we headed to Sandy Beach. He even taught our daughter how to body surf!
Walking along the beach I found a female ghost crab. I could tell it was female because the sand around its burrow was scattered. Males, on the other hand, build large conical mounds near their burrows to attract the females.
